Laki'anay - Part 3: Argosy

Enter the lighthouse and climb up the ladders until you reach the upper floor with the linking book to Argosy. Walk towards the pedestal and click on the book to zoom in on the linking book. Click it again to open the book. You'll see a linking panel and some text underneath. Read the text first, it continues on the next page. Then go back to the first page and touch the linking panel.

Captain's Clues

You are now on a large sailing ship. According to the journal in Laki'anay, the ship was locked in a circular course due to the currents in the ocean. The islands that it passes by contain clues to a doorlock puzzle in Giloto. But first, you need to gather some more information here.

Left from the steering wheel is a stairs going down. Walk down the stairs and turn right. Walk towards the door with a porthole. Open the door and enter the room. It's the captain's quarters. To the right in the corner is a bed and next to it is a desk with a journal. Read the journal to learn more about the 12 islands that contain clues to the Giloto doorlock puzzle.

According to the journal, the captain made a map of the 12 islands. The map is on a table on the other side of the room. However, the top-left part of the map is torn off. You'll have to find the missing part somewhere else. At the back side of the room is a pedestal with a linking book to Giloto. As soon as you have gathered all the clues that you can find here, you can come back here and link to Giloto.

Exploring The Ship

Walk back to the door with the porthole and exit the captain's quarters. Walk straight ahead to the forward section of the ship. Walk down the stairs at the end of the deck. Between the two staircases is a doorway to the crew quarters and the cargo hold. Go through the doorway and keep walking straight forward. Go through the second doorway and walk towards the wooden railing at the end of the room. Climb down the ladder in the middle of the railing. Turn around and walk through the doorway. You are now in a corridor with cargo holds, supply rooms and the kitchen.

Walk to the end of the corridor but do not go through the doorway that you'll find there. It leads to the bowsprit where you can enjoy the view, but there's nothing else to do there. Instead, turn left and walk towards the hatch in the floor. Climb down the ladder to reach the lower part of the ship. It's a large empty room with a door at the end. Walk to the door. It's locked but you can look through the barred window. It looks like there is a pedestal with a linking book inside, but as the door cannot be opened, you cannot reach it from here.

The room is actually the ship's brig or prison. You will be able to get inside later, but not right now. Turn around and walk back to the ladder. Climb the ladder and walk back through the corridor to the ladder that leads back to the crew quarters. Climb the ladder and walk straight forward to the exit. Climb the small stairs to leave the crew quarters.

The 12 Islands

You're now back on deck. It is time to get the island clues. As said before, there are 12 islands, each with a clue to a doorlock puzzle in Giloto. The captain made a map of the islands but did not include the clues that are on the islands themselves. Each of the 12 islands has a symbol associated with it. Each symbol becomes visible when you pass by the islands during the trip on this ship. The captain also mentioned that the first island has a single tree. The island with only one tree serves as a point of reference for the other islands and symbols. Once you have all the 12 symbols from the islands, you can use the captain's map to see what D'ni number is associated with each island and symbol.

Following are the 12 islands and symbols as the ship passes by them:

After you have gathered all 12 symbols, you can associate each symbol with an island on the captain's map, using the island with one tree as a starting point. Only one problem: a piece of the map is missing. Well, the missing piece is not on the ship and it wasn't in Laki'anay either, so maybe the missing piece is in the next Age: Giloto. Head back to the captain's quarters (the door with a porthole) and walk to the pedestal at the end of the room. Walk towards the pedestal and click on the book to zoom in on the linking book. Click it again to open the book. Touch the linking panel and you'll be linked to Giloto.
